Hiya! Jessica here from The Confetti Bar, the coolest confetti shop on the block, where we believe happiness should be celebrated! Now obviously I feel everything is better with confetti, and ooey gooey slime is no exception. This easy Mod Podge slime without Borax (made from items most likely already in your home!) is a perfect activity to keep your kids busy one afternoon, and the confetti not only looks pretty, it adds a fun textural element that is extra fun to play with!
**For the basic slime technique I used this method, but I've made some notes below for how I altered it a smidge.
Confetti Mod Podge Slime without Borax
Gather These Supplies
- A bowl and spoon for mixing
- Confetti!
- About 1 cup Mod Podge
- 2 + 3 tsp liquid laundry detergent
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2-3 tsp contact solution
- food coloring (optional)
Start by adding your Mod Podge to a bowl. (If you plan to use food coloring, mix that into your Mod Podge first. This adds a nice accent color, but since the confetti is colorful you can also choose to leave the slime white.)
Add 2 tsp laundry detergent and mix thoroughly. Add the 2 tsp baking soda and mix until dissolved. Add more laundry detergent, 1 tsp at a time, until well combined. **After mixing for a bit your slime should start to come together, but I found adding a couple teaspoons of contact solution made it “slime up” faster!
Sprinkle in some confetti and voila! Magical, colorful, oozy confetti Mod Podge slime without Borax!
