Dress up an inexpensive plate with tissue paper and Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge in this unique dollar store craft! It’s so easy and the perfect way to add a little seasonal decor to your table for fall or whatever season it happens to be! I wouldn’t necessarily eat off these plates because I don’t know how long lasting the Mod Podge is after multiple washes, but it’s perfect for a platter or decorative piece – and you can wash it off when needed.

Here’s what you will need:
- Tissue Paper
- Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge
- White Plate
- Sponge Brush

Cut your tissue paper into thin strips and then randomly cut the strips into various sizes of small rectangles. I chose colors that would work for fall but also carry over into other seasons as well.

Working in sections, brush on a thin later of Mod Podge and then adhere the strips of tissue paper, overlapping them.

Once you like how the tissue paper is placed, brush one more layer of the Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge on top to seal everything in.

Let it fully dry and add another coat of Mod Podge if you feel like there are some spots that need extra coverage.
