Clik here to view. While on a recent trip to IKEA I came across this wooden Tool Box for only $9.99, I had to grab it up! I was planning on giving it a beachy makeover but when I put it together my 7-year old called dibs on it.
Since it wasn’t expensive, I figured I could just grab another. I’ve had some leftover Star Wars scrapbook paper that I’ve been wanting to do something with. Plus I’m switching my son’s room over to a more Star Wars theme. So it will be a nice addition to the room!
For this Star Wars craft, you’re going to need:
Supplies
- Furniture Matte Mod Podge
- Ikea Tool Box
- Star Wars Scrapbook Paper

Step 1 – Cut Scrapbook Paper to Fit
The piece of scrapbook paper was not long enough, I folded the paper over the tool box to get my perfect size. I cut along the edge then lined it up with the rest of the scrapbook paper. I wanted it to look seamless.

Step 2 – Mod Podge Paper Down
Now it’s time to add my Mod Podge!! I painted some on, then added my scrapbook paper on top. I made sure to smooth it down with my fingers as I was adding it to help prevent any bubbles. I still needed to add the extra part at the end, so about halfway through I added the extra piece and it matched up perfectly.

Step 3 – Seal Paper Down
Next, I added some Mod Podge to seal it up. I did a total of 2 coats and let each coat dry 20 minutes.
There was a little at the bottom right, that I couldn’t match up. So I grabbed another piece of scrapbook paper and cut some off and added it in the spot to cover up the area exposed. The extra sheet of scrapbook paper also had some Star Wars wording so I decided to add that to the sides with a little Mod Podge.

Finishing Touches
Finally, I added some pots I got from Ikea as well for his colored pencils. He was so excited and couldn’t wait to get started coloring.

Clik here to view. This Ikea tool box turned out so cool, I have the good guys on one side and the storm troopers on the other! I would love to be able to find more pieces of scrapbook paper like this. I actually had this paper left over from some wall art I did in my son’s bedroom. I hope you enjoyed this Star Wars craft!
