I'm very excited to share these flameless decoupage candles today! I love lighting candles, but I must confess that I have been known to forget about them from time to time. Coming home after running errands to a lit candle that I have totally forgotten about is definitely not the best case scenario! I haven't invested in flameless candles yet, but when I saw that the Dollar Tree had some, I had to grab a few. With a little Mod Podge and decorative napkins, I turned them into something super cute. I found the napkins at the Dollar Tree also which made these decoupage candles very inexpensive.
Since the napkins are so thin, the light from the LED candle still shines through creating a beautiful effect. You can customize these candles for different occasions. Make some with party napkins for a birthday party or maybe some fall napkins for Thanksgiving decor. The possibilities are endless!
Flameless Decoupage Candles
Gather These Supplies
- Mod Podge Ultra Matte Chalk (Gloss, Matte, or Satin will work too)
- Napkins
- Flameless Candles
- Foam Brush
Brush on a thin layer of decoupage medium onto your candle.
Next, unfold and separate your napkin so that it's just one ply. Wrap it around the candle, smoothing it out. There will be some wrinkles but that's ok! Brush on another layer of Mod Podge over the napkin.
Wrap the napkin around the bottom of the candle.
After it has dried, trim off the excess off the top.
Light up your decoupage candle and enjoy!
These decoupage candles also look adorable just turned off and sitting on a shelf.
